Cute, short story. I do like the cover, and I'll admit I started reading this author because of her covers. She says in one of her books that any element on the cover she feels like she has to include in the story. These are Sci-fi romance short stories. Ms. Grace is a talented short story writer, which isn't always true of authors.Product details

This story was sure different. So the real Overlord is in stasis and it takes a special someone to set him free. In the meantime he has many proxies that look like him that he can interface with, apparently, in order to run the planet. I'm confused on whether the proxies are cyborgs made to look like him or clones. Either way it is an interesting take on a masquerade party or ball. Hellara is the one and only that can do the job and guess what, she ends up being his wife or queen or whatever. It was kind of confusing but I do have to say that Hellara's family is kick a***, pardon my expletive. But they are and they look after one another. And that brings us to another conundrum, is her brothers truly her brothers? It gave a bit of mystery to the story as well. I don't usually like mysteries but I did like this one, probably because it's short and I didn't have to wait long to find out what and who is going on.
While I enjoyed this quick romance and the world, there really isn't much to say about it. I love the cyborgs that are secondary to the story and look forward to reading their story. A quick refreshing science fiction romance read.
Where do i sign up for one! I liked the story. I was entertained and was able to forget about everything else for the time i spent reading this book. its nice being able to be brought into another world even for a short period of time.
liked the book just that story line to short and needed some other action going on as well but over all made an enjoyable short story, I could almost picture it happening but still there seemed to be something missing.
loved the way the clothing was described.
